• You get 10 tickets to start with, plus one for your first finished round each day.
• You earn more from achievements, at the weekly marathon awards and for your own questions that we accept – or you can buy them in the shop.
• You need tickets for random duels beyond the 5 free ones each day (1 ticket each), for extra runs in the weekly marathon (2 tickets each) and for frames, fanfares, titles and avatar sets in the shop.
• Arcade, True or False and Lightning Round never cost tickets.
• Every credit and every spend is listed in your ticket history.

Quiz King Plus is a subscription through Apple, billed monthly or yearly (€24.99 a year in the euro area, $24.99 in the US; the App Store shows the price for your country). It gives you 25 random duels a day (instead of 5), 30 open friend duels instead of 10, 50 tickets every month and Mistake Practice: replay the questions you got wrong in the last 30 days. Plus gives you no advantage in rank points, leaderboards or the marathon.

One week free: if you're new to Plus, you can try it free for a week with both the monthly and the yearly plan. The App Store shows whether the free week applies to you before you buy. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, your paid subscription starts afterwards.

The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before it ends. You can only cancel with Apple: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are also handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). New device or reinstalled the app? Tap “Restore Purchases” in the shop.

• Random Duel: you play against another player's recorded run – same questions, same clock. 5 a day are free; after that, each one costs a ticket. If no opponent is available right now, you play a clearly labelled practice opponent.
• Friend duel: you play first, then your friend has 72 hours to play the same questions.
• Live duel: with a friend who is in the app right now, you both play at the same time.
• Rematch: after every duel, either side can ask for a rematch.

Rank points go up when you win and down when you lose, and they are counted separately for each question language. You need a player name for duels; you can change it at most once every seven days.

Yes. Share a challenge link from the app, for example via WhatsApp or another messenger. Anyone who opens the link on an Android phone or a computer can play that one duel in their browser: enter a name and off you go. No account or sign-in needed.

If they have an iPhone, the same link takes them to Quiz King, and after installing they land right in the challenge.

Get as many right answers in a row as you can; your first mistake ends the run. One run a day is free, then you can buy up to two extra runs for 2 tickets each. The awards are just after midnight on Monday (Berlin time): first place gets 30 tickets, second and third 20 each, and the top ten percent 10 each. Anyone who played on 5 of the 7 days gets 5 more.

There's no sign-in. The app quietly backs up your account in your private iCloud, so it's back on a new device signed in with the same Apple Account. Without iCloud it stays on this device only – Settings tells you which applies to you.

To delete your account: Settings → “Delete account”. This can't be undone. If you have Plus, cancel it with Apple first. You can also ask us to delete it by email or through the form.

To block or report a player, use their player card; you'll find blocked players in Settings.

Yes, fully. Focus jumps to each new question, and the remaining time is announced at 30 and 10 seconds. With “Answer out loud” you say the answer or its number; recognition runs only on your iPhone. With VoiceOver or Reduce Motion turned on, the app leaves out animations.

You choose in the app which notifications you get and when your quiet hours are (10 pm to 8 am by default). Apart from live duel invites, we send at most two notifications a day.

Quiz King has no ads, no tracking and no sign-in. What we store, for how long and how to delete it is explained in the privacy policy.
